Maia is from Echo's second litter, the 3rd Willowswind home bred litter and is owned by me and my mum.  She was 8th in the litter and from the minute she was born she fought to stay with us.  She was the only one we didn't put a collar on so that we could keep an eye on her more easily and so whilst the others were called after the collar colour she was called Little Miss.  Once the initial few hours had gone by it became obvious she was going to be a very determined little girl.  As she grew she was always the first one to do everything and was certainly living up to her name of Little Miss.  You didn't stand a chance against her in the puppy pen, she would leap through the air from one side of the pen grabbing the paper out of your hand before it was put down.  If it did reach the floor then it was instantly stolen and ripped into shreds.  Much the same as Murphy I had always had a soft spot for her.  When we chose to keep her she certainly made herself at home.  She is full of life and full of spring!!!  She is one of those " mm never had one that did that before" . She has such a sweet nature and she looks like butter wouldn't melt (actually don't think butter would get chance to melt with her around). She adores Murphy and certainly gives him a run for his money.  She is very quick to learn,a  bit too quick sometimes.  She was quite a raw puppy but did well nevertheless. She matured slowly and took a break from showing and gundog work when she raised her litter, coming into her own as a veteran and gained a Reserve Challenge Certificate in 2019.  She is a real daddys girl and loves nothing more than spending the day picking up and in the beating line, it is something she naturally excels at and is always the guns favourite at the end of the day.
